Jim Hill is a legendary figure in both professional sports and broadcasting. Born on October 21, 1946, in San Antonio, Texas, Hill began his career as a standout football player.

 

He played college football at Texas A&I University (now Texas A&M–A&M-Kingsville) and was drafted in the first round of the 1968 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers.

He joined CBS2/KCAL-TV in 1976 and, after a brief stint with KABC-TV, returned to CBS in 1992, where he continues to serve as Sports Director and lead sports anchor. Hill has covered countless major events, including Super Bowls, the Olympics, NBA Finals, and championship runs by Los Angeles teams such as the Lakers and Dodgers. He is also the host of popular programs like “Sports Central” and “Sunday Night Sports Final.”

Jim Hill's influence extends beyond the newsroom. In 2006, he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a rare honor for a sportscaster, and was inducted into the Southern California Sports Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2010.

 

He has consistently been voted one of the top sports anchors in Los Angeles by outlets like USA Today. Equally committed to his community, Hill serves on the boards of the Los Angeles Urban League and the Boy Scouts of America, and supports youth-focused initiatives like the L.A. Watts Summer Games.

 

His decades of excellence and community service have solidified his legacy as not only a sports icon but a civic leader in Los Angeles.

Tyrone DuBose

Tyrone DuBose is America’s premier R&B Music Historian, radio host, and music expert. Known for his distinctive bass-baritone voice, this Cincinnati, Ohio native began captivating audiences as the host of "Timeless Traxx," a nationally syndicated radio program that reached over 40 stations and has an international following across five countries.

 

Listeners may also recognize Tyrone as the voice behind numerous national television and radio commercials, as well as award shows throughout the United States. 

 

A three-time Black Music Award winner and a four-time Hollywood African Prestigious Award winner, Tyrone also received the Legendary Good Man Award in his hometown of Cincinnati, as well as the Lifetime Achievement Award from UView Media in Los Angeles, California.

 

In April 2024, he was inducted into the California Music Hall of Fame, further solidifying his esteemed reputation.

Rawcel Cooks

Rodney Allen Rippy as you know has had an amazing career since the age of 3 1/2 dating back to his Jack In The Box commercial campaign. Rodney was their spokesman for more than 14 years. The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences gave Mr. Rippy an award for having one of the greatest commercials in the past 50 years!
